What it is

This service enables you to ask questions, make comments or suggestions and receive answers via e-mail or telephone.

Who answers your questions

The professional staff of the Calcasieu Parish Public Library will receive and answer your questions.

When to expect a response

The minimum turnaround time is 48 hours (Monday to Friday). If you need an answer by a certain date, please be sure to specify this on the question form. For immediate reference assistance, please contact our Central Reference Department at 337-721-7116, Sulphur Reference Department at 337-721-7128, Moss Bluff Reference Department at 337-721-7138, or your local library branch.

  • Crisscross or reverse telephone directory information
  • Product evaluations

What our service does not provide

  • We are unable to fax or send material at this time. To receive copies of documents held by the library, please contact our Central Reference Department at 337-721-7116, Sulphur Reference Department at 337-721-7138, Moss Bluff Reference Department at 337-721-7128, or your local library branch.
  • We do not renew materials via this service. For renewals, call the Talk-To-Me Automated Telephone Service at 1-800-204-0212, contact your local library branch, or use the online catalog, iBistro.
  • We do not do detailed research or provide bibliographies.

The Library will compile this information for its own internal purposes, including determining the number of people asking questions.
